About Anna

Anna Clarke Sas is an empathetic and experienced family law attorney. A member of the Virginia Bar since 1987, she takes on cases involving all aspects of family law, such as divorce, child and spousal support, separation agreements, prenuptial agreements, equitable distribution and Guardian Ad Litem issues, putting a special focus on child well-being.

Earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, Anna graduated in 1984. She later enrolled at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School and received her Juris Doctor in 1987.

After finishing law school, Anna served as a clerk at the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and later as an associate at a renowned Virginia-based legal firm widely known for its construction and contractual law services. With extensive knowledge in this legal domain as well, she occasionally assists people facing legal issues involving contract or construction law.

Anna understands that a sudden change in a person's family environment can have a significant impact on their emotional and financial well-being. Whether the case is a simple or complex one, she does not sugar-coat her responses and maintains open and honest communication with her clients throughout the case.

Anna also understands that the most important aspect of family law is ensuring the well-being of children. Starting at Johns Hopkins, where she studied under the father of the gifted movement, Dr. Julian Stanley. Anna has had a lifetime of experience in teaching, coaching, research, and child psychology. She not only strives for the best legal outcomes, she works to help the family, especially children, move forward in a healthy way.

Previously the co-chair of the Virginia Beach Bar Association’s CLASS Program, Anna currently is a member of the Virginia Bar/Circuit Court Committee. She also offers pro bono service and legal assistance to domestic violence victims. Anna has also presented CLEs to attorneys and education to mental health professionals.
